Close up of the two cockpits. The no2 pilot is looking to the leader for the 'nod' which indicates that brakes off is imminent. A new helmet will shortly be introduced at squadron level with the ability to lock and fire the infra-red ASRAAM off-boresight. It will operate in a similar style to the helmet mounted sight used by the USAF F-15C unit at Lakenheath with the AIM-9X.
