There's not many pilots who fly fast jets (well, advanced trainers) well into their fifties, but Lt Col Paul Rorive did. Yet his long and varied career with the Belgian Air Force ended in retirement along with the Magister at the 2006 Autumn Duxford show - or so it seemed at the time. Rorive, his turtle mascot and the Magister got a late reprieve for the 2007 season but sadly never appeared in the UK in that final year.
