Taken at RAF Coningsby on the last day of July, 2007 and during the first month that the Typhoon has taken over the role from Tornado F3s, this 3 Squadron Typhoon overshoots the approach after returning from a practise Quick Reaction Alert sortie. Four live AIM-120A/Bs are on the fuselage stations, these are active-radar, medium range missiles, complemented by four infra-red short range ASRAAM's on the wing stations.
