Tornado GR4A ZA398 is loaded with a typical Afghanistan stores configuration. A LITENING targeting pod is on the forward left fuselage station, a triple Brmistone missile adaptor behind, although in this case only loaded with two rounds. Two Paveway IV LGBs on the righthand side finish the offensive weapons fit. Like all GR4A variants, ZA398 still retains the imaging window in the forward right fuselage, under the cockpit from when the type was fitted with an internal camera fit. This is now defunct, and the GR4A model is operated in exactly the same manner as the more numerous GR4.
