After the introduction of the Apache, the Lynx AH7 lost it's anti-tank role and the TOW launchers on the side were removed. The AH7 had operated as the AAC's attack helicopter for many years, despite being unsuited to the role, as in reality it was an unarmoured light transport/observation helicopter being operated in the attack role.
