Spending two days at RAF Coningsby photographing the routine daily flights of the various Typhoon units, as well as the visitors from the 493rd FS, you tend to forget the serious nature of this business. I was reminded on the wednesday lunchtime when two Typhoon's fast taxied out of the shelters, lined up without stopping and plugged in the burners (rarely use afterburner on normal ops) for a quick departure - the QRA jets were scrambled, although in this case it was a practise only. This is the first taxiing back in after recovery.
