This was taken on a old point and shoot digital compact rather than a modern DSLR so lacks quality. This was in the summer of 2005 as she departs Ipswich (her adopted town) after her last public visit prior to the axe and eventual sale to Chile. HMS Grafton was a type 23 frigate and was only a few years old but was due for a refit so was chosen as one of three type 23 frigates to get the chop in this goverments obsession with destroying the UK's armed forces.
