The small window just behind the RAF roundel indicates this airframe is a GR4A - which is a GR1A upgraded to the current specification. The 'A' designation indicates a camera package in the nose, as these airframes were originally intended to operate in the recce role, alongside the standard GR4, although they retained the full external weapons capability and the operating squadrons were dual roled. With the introduction of the external RAPTOR pod the internal cameras are now not supported in RAF service - any GR4/GR4A can operate in the recce role with RAPTOR.
