Many of the early Typhoon's are being upgraded to the block 5 standard, which is recognised externally by the PIRATE infra-red sensor turret fitted on the forward fuselage. Even the early, training configured T1's (and ZJ802 is one of the earliest) are going through the process to become T3's.
