Taken from amongst the landing lights on runway 24 at Marham, late on a Friday afternoon. There's a story behind this shot. The Hawk was from 4 Flight Training School at RAF Valley, which conducts advanced jet training for all future fast jet pilots for RAF and RN, and was one of two arriving at Marham that afternoon on a nav ex. Listening on the radio, this one had a female student, which is still fairly uncommon although less so now than a few years ago. I mentioned the shot to a relative, who is the OC of the local RAF gliding school not to far from Marham and who introduces cadets to flying. He mentioned that one of his former girl cadets was on the fast jet course at Valley and contacted her to see if it she flew into Marham that afternoon - she did! I forwarded copies of this and some other pics to her through him.
