The block 5 upgraded aircraft with a inital air-to-ground capability can be identified by the large infra-red blister on the left hand side of the forward fuselage. Strangely, not all nationalities recieving Typhoon's will have this capability; the Luftwaffe has deleted this sensor from all it's aircraft.
