For many years, RC-135's which were deployed to RAF Mildenhall operated from the hardstandings at the South Western corner of the airfield, up against the perimeter fence and they tended to feature heavily in the many photographs taken around Mildenhall by the local photographers. For some reason, this is now considered a 'security risk' and to minimize photography they have been relocated to the centre of the airfield - all a bit pointless as they still have to use the runway and taxi right beside the fenceline.
